This phone does have a lot of features, it does have good reception when it comes to making phone calls and the touch-screen is very responsive compared to others however if you want to transfer music and videos from your PC to this Phone that's when it gets a bit complicated....For one thing, this phone doesn't have a slot for you to connect a memory card into like other phones....with this phone in order to connect with your PC you have to connect it via the regular lightning to USB cable that comes with it then you're forced to register with iTunes and zync your phone with it. iTunes is sort of like the PC "driver" for the iPhone. It's the interface for this phone, handles your music, videos and pretty much any media. Without iTunes you can't really transfer files from PC to phone or vice versa. Some features within iTunes are complicated to use and for some reason sometimes when you drag files from your PC to your phone, like music files and disconnect from iTunes sometimes your songs disappear from the phone which makes it very frustrating. I had some songs and ringtones disappear from the phone after disconnecting from iTunes for some reason. So that said, other than that this phone is pretty good.

I traded my 5c (my first iphone) in on a Samsung s7 and could not get used to it. It was far too big for me (I am 6'6" with large hands). I thought I would like it for reading Kindle and for Bible study which I often do on the phone. But the Samsung was too hard to use one-handed. And my favorite free Bible software, e-Sword, is not available for android.
Based on all the above, I returned to Apple. Since I bought my Samsung on a 2 year contract, I had to get a used Apple and will probably sell my Samsung at some point.
The 5s is nicer than my former 5c. This one has 64GB, my former had 32.
When this phone wears out, I will likely buy the new apple that is this size. I am glad they are keeping it around.

iPhone 5s still holds up as an eminently useful and user-friendly device. Its size and shape, along with a fingerprint scan to unlock it from standby, make it easy to operate with one hand. The camera opens and finds focus quickly and reliably, even if lower-light conditions. It's unfortunate this phone has no slot for inserting extra memory. To boot, all music/movies/etc have to be transferred via Apple's iTunes software, which is sometimes awkward and confusing to navigate. The 5s also has a too-tiny speaker for playing audio without headphones, though the sound quality is okay. In sum, especially for the prices it usually goes now that a few years have passed, the iPhone 5s still seems a worthwhile buy.

Bought in 2017 used with little expectation, but has been 2 month and I love it. More than I can expect and I can do with the phone. Works every time, I get 100% battery in the morning, listening music all day long and by 5.00 P.M. is about 20%, but..it is ok for me. Plus I can txt or call any time of the day to my contacts. (I don't really call all day long neither watch videos) but works for me. Good value for an old phone. Has done the work for me. I will buy it again if I have to.

This is our second iPhone 5s we got for each of our teenage kids. Their young eyes and restricted needs make this version a good fit. They still get the Touch ID entry but beyond that, only requests are mobile games and messaging apps (Instagram, Snapchat, etc). This one was a little scuffed on corners but unnoticeable once protective case was used.
Low overall volume and weak antenna signal make for less than robust phone service but minor concern for our text & video preferred kids.
At $150 unlocked, it's a great smartphone bargain.

I had been rocking the iPhone 5 before upgrading to this bad boy. I must say, I am a fan. The phone itself is speedy like WHOA. Downloads, call quality, and network access have been great with Sprint. Also, the thumbprint reader is crazy convenient for unlocking the phone or signing in to sensitive apps. Think I'll stick with this one a while, as I'm not a fan of how enormous the 6 is.

this phone usually works. If it is not functional, I give it a break and then restart. changing orientations from vertical to horizontal is sometimes non-responsive for the screen. Its small screen size means it can be challenging to text with or choose links that are small. The battery life is somewhat better since I replaced battery. The lightness, old-school home button, easy-to-hold edges, and metal and glass materials felt comfortable to me.

This iPhone is definitely one of the best iPhones I ever purchased and have came across the features are amazing and wonderful how it's still supported for a older model the iPhone 5S is indeed well designed and very lightweight and easy to use battery life is decent but won't stop me from using it and the budget is also excellent since I can't afford the latest so this does it for me.

At first I thought the phone had a power defect because it wouldn't turn on while charging and I didn't see the charging indication screen.
I decided to charge it over night and it turned on and got to 100%. The batter lasted a decent amount of hours so the power is fine. The screen was broken (stated in description field) and it had scratches too (also stated in description). Great deal!

This is my third Apple cellphone. Each gets better than the last. I really like this 5s because it isn't much bigger than the 3s or 4s I had. It is very responsive and reliable. Actually, if I don't play games I can get two days use out of the battery and that includes some internet time. The price was right and is indeed in mint condition. Great buy; great phone.
